Workshops

There is a different workshop run every Saturday on a wide variety of disciplines.

One or more of the teaching team, all highly experienced printmakers, leads each workshop. All workshops are designed to provide a complete experience of each discipline culminating in the production of a set of prints by each participant.

Two-day workshops on consecutive Saturdays and Sundays have recently been introduced to allow some of the techniques to be explored more thoroughly.

All workshops are suitable for beginners as well as experienced printmakers.

No induction is required for workshops.

Six-Week Course for Beginners and Intermediates

If you are interested in learning about different types of printmaking, here is the perfect opportunity. No prior experience or particular artistic skills are required.

Each Wednesday morning during a three-hour session, a different printmaking technique is introduced using both traditional and contemporary techniques. Four highly experienced printmakers run the course, each passionate about their work and keen to share their expertise.

Wednesday afternoons Intermediate Course is a more in-depth exploration of selected techniques from the Beginners Course. This is a natural progression for some people from this course, however it is open to anyone with prior experience in printmaking.

One and two day workshop ~ £60.00/120.00
Six Week Course ~ £150.00
1 to 1 Critique per hour ~ £25.00
1 to 1 Practical per hour ~ £40.00

Iron Press Printmaking Club

In January 2022 I introduced the Iron Press Printmaking Club for experienced printmakers; people who are able to work safely in the studio without supervision. The idea is that experienced people, familiar with the facilities and studio operation, can help and support each other.

Available all-day Monday, Tuesday Evening and Friday.

People who use the studio regularly or experienced printmakers will be invited to join the club. The invitation reflects Health and Safety issues and has nothing to do with anyones work.
