Open Access

Everyone will be required to go through an Induction Programme to familiarise themselves with the facilities, be shown studio operation and be made aware of all the Health and Safety regulations that apply.

Whatever kind of printing you choose, most of the materials you require will be available in the studio.

We provide without additional charge: a wide range of inks, white spirit for cleaning, scrim for wiping plates, newsprint, tissue paper, blotting paper, copper sulphate, etching grounds, large and small rollers, collagraph card, carborundum powder, brushes, various drawing and painting materials, tape, glue and other sundries. A selection of etching, lino and engraving tools are also available to use (or buy).

Materials you pay for: Etching plate, lino, wood, special carborundum plates, wood engraving blocks, drypoint plastic and a wide range of top quality printing and watercolour papers.

A charge may apply for particularly large projects that require a lot of materials.

An additional charge may be applied for editions of more than 16 prints.

Using your own tools and materials reduces your costs. We can advise on tools and suppliers, and in addition, we have some basic materials and tools for sale.

We look forward to working with you.
